Our training program offers the opportunity for individuals to receive basic hands-on training and industry certifications that they can immediately use upon graduation.

PPATEC is a member-based trade school that facilities both state licensed and non-state licensed (contract training) activities. Any individuals who are classified as “self-pay” may only attend our state licensed HVAC & Energy Professional Program which adheres to all required PA State Board of Private Licensed School regulations. Any individuals who attend the HVAC & Energy Professional Program as an employee is classified as contract training and therefore does not adhere to PA State Board of Private Licensed School oversight.

10-Week HVAC & Energy Professional Program

Our 10-week entry-level program offers all of the important electrical, A/C, gas heat, oil heat, and propane information to begin your career within the industry.

Additional Fees: $2,775 (includes tools, books, and lab fees)

• Basic Electric Theory for HVAC Components (40 hours)
• A/C Principles, Theories, Installation & Troubleshooting (80 hours)
• Heating Principles, Theories, Installation & Troubleshooting (160 hours)
• Gas/Propane Certification & Vapor Distribution Systems (120 hours)

Course Times

Classes are offered Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM during the week. No classes are scheduled on the weekends. No classes on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Our Facility

Our facility opened in 2011 and has since been one of the premier hands-on training facilities in the area. In 2020 PPATEC went through a significant expansion to add more hands-on space for air conditioning, propane, natural gas, and electrical units.
