Pennsylvania Petroleum Association Technical Education Center is proud to announce its participation in the Department of War SkillBridge Program, a meaningful step forward in strengthening our commitment to workforce development to military service members and establishing viable veteran career pathways.
At its core, PPATEC has always focused on building strong pipelines into the energy and fuel industry. By joining SkillBridge, we’re expanding that mission to better serve transitioning service members who are preparing for their next chapter after military service.
SkillBridge connects active-duty service members with civilian career training opportunities during the final months of their service. For PPATEC, this partnership creates a direct pathway for highly skilled, disciplined individuals to explore careers in our industry while giving employers access to a motivated and capable talent pool.
This initiative reflects a broader vision: ensuring that our stakeholders, employers, partners, and industry leaders recognize PPATEC as a training provider that actively supports military and veteran communities. Our goal isn’t just participation; it’s positioning. We want to be known as a place where those who have served can transition into stable, rewarding careers in the trades.
For many service members, the transition to civilian life can feel complex. Programs like SkillBridge simplify that journey by offering hands-on training and exposure to real-world careers. PPATEC is proud to be part of that solution, helping bridge the gap between military experience and industry opportunity.
As we continue to grow, initiatives like this reinforce our commitment to workforce development, industry sustainability, and community impact. Welcoming service members into our programs strengthens not only their futures, but the future of the industry as a whole.
We look forward to working with SkillBridge participants and continuing to expand opportunities for those who have served.
