This full-day course will begin with discussing the operation, testing, and troubleshooting of electric components found in HVAC equipment, electronic control boards, electronic operating controls, and igniters. The course will involve all types of primary and limit controls found on today’s equipment. ECM technology will also be discussed, including operation, service, and troubleshooting.
This is a hands-on class; technicians are encouraged to bring their own meters to the class. Technicians will be instructed on the use of meters to test electrical circuits and equipment. Fundamental knowledge of basic electricity is desired to attend this class.
Our Instructor: Kurt Massa has decades of HVAC industry experience including positions as an HVAC technician, manager, and instructor. Kurt holds a NORA Gold Certification, is a certified NATE instructor, and has taught various HVACR courses at Delaware County Community College. This combination of field experience as well as years of sharing his knowledge as an educator makes Kurt a great resource for the 2019 PPA technical program.
