Bobtail Delivery Operations (New PEP Course)

NOTE: This course replaces CETP 2.2 Bobtail Delivery Operations. It provides information for drivers who operate cargo tank motor vehicles to deliver propane. It is primarily designed to train employees who operate a CTMV (Bobtail), the most common vehicle used for transporting and delivering propane to individual customers onsite.

Recommended Prerequisite: Former CETP 1.0 Basic Principles and Practices or PEP Introduction to the Propane Industry and Fundamentals of Propane.

• Pre and Post Trip CTMV Chassis Inspections
• Bobtail Components including monthly meter creep test and discharge inspection
• Preparing to Load a Bobtail
• Load a Bobtail using a Plant Pump
• Safe Driving
• Pre-delivery Site Inspection
• Filling Customer Containers Onsite
• Restoring Service after an Interruption of Service
• Testing Gas Piping (Leak Checks)
• Lighting Appliance Pilots
• Uncontrolled Release of Propane
