Intro to Air Conditioning (4 Day Class)

This program will feature hands-on training with recently installed units in the PPATEC Training Center! The extended four-day course is designed to teach the basics to technicians who have limited field experience with air conditioning and heatpumps with fossil fuel backup.

Please note: the EPA 608 Certification Prep & Test is a separate class on Friday. If you are interested in getting your certification, you need to sign up for the EPA 608 Certification Prep & Test as well.

The course provides hands-on training in the following areas: • Refrigerant Handling • Proper Tool Use & Care • Preventative Maintenance • Low Voltage Wiring & Troubleshooting • Line Set Sizing • Checking Air Flow of Equipment & Duct System

Our Instructor:

Ed (Eddie) Howell brings over 43 years of industry experience to the PPA technical training program. Eddie began his career working for PA based HVAC company for nearly two decades. He has spent the last 27+ years at APR Supply which included managing their training efforts for the 30+ locations. Ed’s credentials include Nortek TSA, NATE Certified in four disciplines (A/C, HP, Gas Furnace, and Oil & Gas Hydronics), RSES Member, and local OESP Chapter member.
