Gas Heating Fundamentals of Installation & Servicing training

This robust 5-day class will provide a foundation of theory, practical application, and safe principles for working with natural gas and propane heating equipment. Students will progressively develop their knowledge and skills in servicing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing natural gas and propane heating equipment, both residential and light commercial.

This course will cover topics of: Gas line piping – sizing and installing, Equipment Installations – boilers, hydronic piping, and components, wiring (high and low voltage), Combustion Analysis and Theory, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and will also cover how to properly perform an oil to gas conversion.

This intensive program is comprised of hands-on training in our state-of-the-art lab, and classroom lecture and discussion. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, the registrant will have a firm working knowledge and skills in servicing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing natural gas and propane heating equipment, both residential and light commercial.

• Properly Performing an Oil to Gas Conversion

• Gas Piping, Gas Regulators, and Gas Valves

• Gas Orifice’s, Diffusers, and Combustion Chambers

• Draft and Venting

• Combustion

• Ignition Systems

• Motors

• Primary Controls, Modules, and Limited Controls

• Hands-On Troubleshooting in Lab
