This course provides a fundamental turning point for your Service Technicians, Installers, Sales Advisors, Production Managers, and Service Managers to transition to an  improved and consistent performance level successfully. This training forces an enhanced and consistent performance level, reducing liabilities, increasing knowledge, and ramping sales opportunities. Anyone can sell another box, but this is for the team members ready for the next level.

Expectations and Goals

You can expect results in the reduction of company liabilities and increased sales opportunities. Students will learn how to test and design ducting the correct way while dealing with real-world installations how we find them. Students will gain a core understanding of the fundamentals of heating and air conditioning. This practical problem-solving approach arms students with the very best practices to increase technician competence. ACCA’s technical training delivers proven best practices with industry-accepted techniques that reinforce the science in HVACR.

What You Will Learn

A successful transition to an improved and consistent performance level, reducing liabilities and increasing sales opportunities. Technical training developed by ACCA delivers the correct procedures to understanding how to perform a proper load calculation, designing a residential duct system, and methods for selecting and sizing residential cooling equipment.

  • • Summary of the Manual D procedures
  • • Blower performance (variable-speed, variable CFM design; variable-speed, constant CFM design; altitude and temperature effects; inlet and discharge effects and noise).

Instructor: Matt Akins is the Manager of HVACR Education with ACCA. His responsibilities include developing technical education materials, working with ACCA certified educators on outreach and scheduling, and providing technical support to members. Matt has 19 years in the HVACR industry and has spent the last seven years as a technical trainer. Matt also has an extensive law enforcement background and ran his law enforcement career alongside his HVACR career. Matt is NATE certified and holds a State of Georgia Conditioned Air License.
